New Oxfambooks shop opens in Cork
28, December, 2011
Best-selling author Kate Kerrigan recently opened Cork's first
ever Oxfambooks shop at 18A French Church, Street, Cork.
Lucky customers on the day heard Kate read from her new book
'City of Hope' to mark the official opening.
Kate said: "I've always been a supporter of Oxfam's and I am
thrilled to be part of the first ever Oxfambooks shop in Cork. Book
shops are special places but Oxfambooks is extra special because
every purchase means a positive change in the life of someone who
really needs it overseas. If you spend just €10 in an Oxfam
bookshop, Oxfam can buy six buckets to help families get access to
water."
