A mystery donor has left thousands of pounds outside a charity shop in Exeter, which hopes it will be able to keep the money. Hospiscare is hoping that the £3,540, left in two carrier bags outside the store in Cowick Street on Monday night, 10 November, is a generous donation.
The manager was amazed and immediately contacted the police who are looking after the wads of £20 used notes. This sum would provide almost a whole week of 24 hour wrap-around care in our hospice from our doctors and nurses.  If it's intended for us, and it's not claimed, it would be a huge boost to our work. Glynis Atherton, Hospicecare CEO
