The Dementia Elevator Project, The HSE and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland present the Dementia Elevator Showcase at the Helix, DCU on 20 September 2016. Come along to discover and experience the latest innovations in Irish dementia awareness, dementia training and dementia care.
What is the Dementia Showcase?
The Dementia Showcase is a unique event designed to highlight training courses and awareness programmes that are focused on dementia, as well as other initiatives that support people with dementia and their carers.
The Showcase will involve key note presentations, practical exhibits and interactive workshops delivered by the teams from Dublin City University (DCU), the Health Services Executive (HSE) and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) with special guests, including world-renowned dementia expert Prof. June Andrews, (University of Stirling). Participants on the day will also include:

- SONAS APC
- The Dun Laoghaire Sweet Memories Choir
- The Irish Dementia Working Group
- The Azure Project
- HSE, Nutrition and Dementia Resource
- DSIDC Schools Dementia Awareness Project
- National Dementia Awareness Campaign
We will also be announcing the winners of the Dementia Elevator Innovation Award 2016.
Who should attend?
The Showcase will be of interest to health and social care professionals, family carers, community groups, retailers, financiers, transport services, patient representatives, and people with dementia. Registration fee is €20 (payable when booking). Attendance is free for those aged over 65, people with dementia and family carers, however booking is essential.
