Shop Manager Loughrea Co Galway - new store

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is an Irish registered charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care for children with highly complex medical conditions up to the age of six.  Jack & Jill also provide end of life care for children under 6, regardless of the diagnosis.

The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation are looking for the next exceptional person to join our team. If you are self motivated, good with people and want to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

This is a permanent full time position reporting to the Retail Area Manager.

Overall Responsibility:

To manage a Jack and Jill Boutique, in a manner, which reflects high street retail standards and maintains the professionalism and profile of the charity in all areas of operation.

Community Employment Vacancies

We have a number of community employment vacancies within the Barnardos retail CE scheme.

Community Employment is a great opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing skills. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

All posts are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for CE you must be in receipt of a payment from the DSP for a minimum of twelve months.

Location: Dun Laoghaire
Duties: 

  • To assist in the day to day running of the shop including stocking shelves, sorting stock, pricing stock, stock rotation and cash register duties.
  • Ensuring window displays are attractive
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.

Selected candidate will receive in house training to assist Brides in their quest for the perfect gown in Barnardos Bridal Rooms.

We currently have vacancies for Sales Assistants in Camden Street, Dun Laoghaire, Fairview, Tallaght, Crumlin Road nad Thomas Street.

The role involves preparing and receiving stock, tagging and pricing of second hand goods and clothing, cash register sales, merchandising and general customer service.

Retail sales support people with sight loss through NCBI.

Van Driver

We also have a vacancy for a Van Driver at our Cherry Orchard Furniture Warehouse.  Full “B” Licence required.

Hours of Work: 19.5 hrs per week
