SVP are recruiting a National Monitoring and Conformance Officer

This full time permanent position will be based in SVP house in Sean McDermott St Dublin 1.

The role of the Monitoring and Conformance officer is to provide professional support to the National Retail Development Manager and to SVP’s National Retail Committee.

SVP’s National Retail aims to maximize sales, productivity, revenue and customer satisfaction levels through the efficient and effective management of the Vincent’s Charity shops, order fulfilment centres and transport operations. 

This is achieved by ensuring compliance with the Society’s retail standards, regulatory obligations, legislation, policies and ethos.

The Monitoring and Conformance Officer will carry out on site reviews to ensure that SVP Retail Policies and Procedures, regulatory obligations and industry best practice are being met whilst risk is identified and eliminated within retail.  

This will involve the development and introduction of loss prevention measures, risk management, control improvement and governance.  The focus primarily being on cash and stock management and the processing of donated goods.

A strong retail background and a risk management qualification; with research, investigative, communication and problem solving skills are required.

You will be responsible for the operational and people management of a Social Enterprise which includes two retail stores and a sorting and distribution centre.

We are looking for an individual with a recognised, relevant third level qualification and the candidate must have of knowledge of Social Enterprise model with a clear understanding of the distinction between mainstream retail and the charity sector.

To assist in the day to day running of the shop including stocking shelves, sorting stock, pricing stock, stock rotation and cash register duties, ensuring window displays are attractive and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.

Warehouse Assistant

Ballycoolin Dublin 15 - The warehouse is not on a bus route, and transport would be needed to get to this location.
To assist in the day to day running of the warehouse including, unloading and loading stock, label removal, stock taking duties, pricing and tagging, preparation of merchandise for delivery, participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management. Must have a keen interest in fashion.
