An exciting opportunity has arisen in

NCBI Castlecomer for a Charity Shop Manager

NCBI Retail has over 118 shops located around Ireland, selling great quality second hand clothes and other donated goods in aid of NCBI - Working for People with Sight Loss

In this varied and exciting role you will be instrumental to making sure this prominent shop achieves sales targets. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive sales, present both shop interior and shop window, as well as recruit, train, motivate and manage a social activation employee and volunteer team, in retail and customer  service skills.

An ability to work under pressure and prioritise a changing workload are essential attributes for the role.

Prior experience in a busy retail environment including stock pricing is vital for this role.

This is a permanent contract.

The Irish Deaf Society wish to recruit a 

Retail and Fundraising Manager

This is a newly formed position within the Irish Deaf Society and will have a primary responsibility to manage the retail operation and formulate and implement a growth strategy. The role will have a secondary responsibility to manage fundraising activity, events and initiatives.

The duties of the Retail & Fundraising Manager incorporate the following areas of responsibilities:

This position will be based in the Irish Deaf Society Head Office, Thomas Mahon Building, Deaf Village Ireland, Ratoath Road, Dublin 7. This is a national role so it is envisaged that some of the working week will be based in the field. This role is flexible for a blend of office and remote working depending on operational requirements.

Community Employment Vacancies

We have a number of community employment vacancies within the Barnardos retail CE scheme.

Community Employment is a great opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing skills. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

All posts are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.

  • Ensuring window displays are attractive
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.

The warehouse is not on a bus route, and transport would be needed to get to this location.
