The retail store manager will be responsible to the Head of Retail for the ongoing success of the store in South Dublin. 

The main focus will be to maximise sales, increase profits and promote customer service. The retail store manager will be responsible for creating a shopping experience that will meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

The manager will also be responsible for inspiring the team, leading and developing them to achieve outstanding results.

Job Description

This is a full-time post subject to a probation period of six months.  The person appointed must be flexible regarding working hours to including weekends. The posts are based in South Dublin.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person with retail experience who wants to make a real difference to the lives of older people in Ireland.

The Assistant Retail Store Manager will be responsible to the Manager at our Camden Street store. As the Assistant Manager you will have full accountability for growing sales and profitability within the store as well as regularly overseeing the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

The Assistant Retail Store Manager will receive training in all aspects of the operation of Age Action’s retail store and gain in-depth experience in all aspects of our work.

Sales Assistant

Locations:
Dun Laoghaire, Rathmines, Kilbarrack and Wexford.
Duties: 
To assist in the day to day running of the shop including stocking shelves, sorting stock, pricing stock, stock rotation and cash register duties, ensuring window displays are attractive and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.

Fashion Stock Assistant

Location: 
Ballycoolin Dublin 15 - The warehouse is not on a bus route, and transport would be needed to get to this location.
Duties:
To assist in the day to day running of the warehouse including, unloading and loading stock, label removal, stock taking duties, pricing and tagging, preparation of merchandise for delivery, participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management. Must have a keen interest in fashion.

All posts are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for CE you must be in receipt of a payment from the DSP for a minimum of twelve months.
