Overview of the Post:  The purpose of the role is day to day running of the store and garden centre whilst motivating and encouraging staff and volunteers to help achieve sales targets in order to maximise our contribution to Enable Ireland’s services.

Enable Ireland are looking for an exceptional and motivated full-time Managers abd asst Managers to join their teams in their large busy stores. In these varied and exciting roles, you will be instrumental in making sure the store is at the hub of the local community.

The purpose of the role is day to day running of the store and whilst motivating and encouraging staff and volunteers to help achieve sales targets in order to maximise our contribution to Enable Ireland’s services.

You must have retail experience and demonstrate strong leadership skills. You will inspire and motivate your team to deliver outstanding results, enjoy being on the store floor whilst driving sales through great customer service and be motivated by working for a charity.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and develop the store and garden centre in the context of an agreed work plan and agreed financial targets
  • Assist in training, supervising and managing staff, both paid and voluntary
  • Ensure the appearance of the store is attractive to customers and in line with brand standards.

We currently have vacancies for Sales Assistants in Camden Street, Dun Laoghaire, Fairview, Tallaght, Crumlin Road nad Thomas Street.

The role involves preparing and receiving stock, tagging and pricing of second hand goods and clothing, cash register sales, merchandising and general customer service.

Community Employment Vacancies

We have a number of community employment vacancies within the Barnardos retail CE scheme.

Community Employment is a great opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing skills. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

All posts are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for CE you must be in receipt of a payment from the DSP for a minimum of twelve months.

Stockroom Assistant
Ballycoolin

  • To assist with the day to day running of the warehouse
  • Sorting stock and identifying best product for each shop profile
  • Sorting and pricing all stock to include fashion, household, books etc.
  • Product is new and also pre loved. 

Van Driver Assistant
Ballycoolin

  • To assist in the day to day running of the van deliveries including:
  • Loading and unloading of vans, deliveries, pick-ups, distribution and collection of bags, occasional driving.
  • Participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.
