for a Full Time
Charity Shop Manager
In this varied and exciting role you will be instrumental to making sure the shop is at the hub of the local community, with you acting as the face of NCBI Retail.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive sales and achieve income targets, as well as recruit, train, motivate and manage a volunteer team.
Experience in retail and good customer service skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise a changing workload are essential attributes for the role.

All posts are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.
We have a number of community employment vacancies within the Barnardos retail CE scheme.
To assist in the day to day running of the warehouse including, unloading and loading stock, label removal, stock taking duties, pricing and tagging, preparation of merchandise for delivery, participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management. Must have a keen interest in fashion.
Van driver’s assistant
To assist the van driver in the day to day running of the van deliveries including, loading and unloading of vans, deliveries, pick-ups, distribution and collection of bags, occasional driving. Participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.
Social media assistant
To promote and market the Barnardos charity shops and bridal merchandise and activities through the internet, primarily through the medium of social networking sites. To assist in the day to day administration of the various social network sites, typing, filing, telephone and e-mail correspondence. Photography of Barnardos products and merchandise. Must have a keen interest and knowledge of fashion and bridal.
These posts are located in our office / warehouse in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15.
Please note our office / warehouse is not on a bus route, and transport would be needed to get to the location.
